Our six alumni members along with faculty, student and health system representatives are making progress on a number of projects, including an alumni-student mentoring program and the development of a national communication network to keep our alumni connected. Lt. Col. Stephan Baker, EdD, has 20-plus years of leadership experience. He plans to retire from the U.S. Army within the next year and transition into a full-time career in the mental health field.
During her career in perioperative nursing, Toni served as a staff nurse, team leader, director, and educator. Before retirement, she facilitated and taught a certification prep course for AORN (Association of periOperative Registered Nurses).
Mary’s 45-year nursing career was dedicated to improving the quality of lives through direct patient care, program development and health care instruction. Now retired, she volunteers to help people navigate today's healthcare system.
Kim has spent a lifetime giving back as a caring and compassionate nurse. She was driven to provide the best nursing care she could and be there for teammates and patients in emotionally-driven situations.
Laura is passionate about education, serving as a health sciences teacher and CTE (career and technical education) department head. She has more than 15 years of proven leadership in training design and delivery.
Lois’s career highlights include service as an informatics nurse specialist, senior I.T. technical trainer and nursing instructor. She has worked all over the country – from North Platte, NE, to Honolulu, HI.
