Methodist Hospital Foundation: Here to Support YOU in Multiple Ways
Employee Assistance
Methodist Employees Take Care of Each Other
We all need help sometimes. The Caring Coworkers Fund is here to assist you and your Methodist co-workers in times of urgent financial need. Once every three years, qualifying employees are eligible for up to $1,000 in assistance.
Your gifts during Caring Campaign make the Caring Coworkers Fund possible.

RISE: Another Layer of Support for You
Our Methodist co-workers are skilled, dedicated and compassionate. But, at times, you might also find yourself struggling.
Even before 2020, caregivers were experiencing wellness and resilience issues, and compassion fatigue.
Methodist Hospital Foundation and its donors saw a need and funded a new initiative to care for our doctors, nurses and staff.
It's called RISE (Resilience in Stressful Events).
If you experience a challenging or stressful experience while caring for a patient or engaging with a hospital visitor, please call (402) 354-RISE (7473) and ask to speak with a RISE peer responder. You’ll receive a call back within 60 minutes.
Don't forget: You also have access to system-funded benefits to support your mental health through Best Care Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
Just Need a Moment to Relax and Recharge?
You have a couple of options, powered by philanthropy.
Spend some time in the Adam M. Koslosky Reflection Garden.
The garden was dedicated in October 2020 to honor Adam M. Koslosky, who fought a courageous battle with colon cancer in 2018. It's located to the south of Methodist Hospital by the employee parking garage. Click here to view a map.
The space features an original mural, retaining wall seating, wheelchair and hospital bed access, beautiful foliage and a water feature.
Visit a renewal room.
A generous Foundation donor funded the Renewal Room at Methodist Women’s Hospital. It includes a massage chair, coloring pages, personal aromatherapy, a communal journal and more.
When you need to reflect, regroup, de-stress or disconnect for a moment, the room at Methodist Women's Hospital and a similar self-care room at Methodist Hospital are designed to provide you the time and space you need to re-center yourself.
The rooms are designed for multiple staff members at a time.

Breaking Ground Since 1977
With our launch in 1977, Methodist Hospital became the first in Omaha to establish a separate corporation as a charitable foundation to receive contributions on the hospital’s behalf. We’ve been breaking ground ever since.
