Meet Our Empower Sponsors
Accessibility. When we launched Women Connect, that was one of our cornerstones: ensuring our events and experiences are open to all women in our communities — free of charge.
We rely on our sponsors to help make that happen.
We're thrilled to introduce you to Suzanne Kotula. She and her husband, Dr. Rudy Kotula, serve as our Empower Sponsors.
A professional volunteer, Suzanne gives her time and insight to the Methodist Hospital Foundation Board and numerous other boards and committees.
Nothing makes me feel more fulfilled than giving back to my community through meaningful organizations.
The Kotulas have two children, Adam and Anna.
We're grateful for their support and are happy to share more from Suzanne about her passion for our Women Connect community.
What inspired you to support Women Connect and women's health as an Empower Sponsor?
"For me, Women Connect has a mission that holds a special place in my heart. I had a family member diagnosed with melanoma in the last year, so the 'Skin Health Simplified: Smart Habits and Straight Talk' event resonated with me deeply. The detailed information about proper sun protection and yearly skin checks shared by the panel was invaluable. It helped me become more vigilant with my sun protection, and it empowered me to educate my friends and family about the importance of SPF 30 and regular reapplication.
"I also value the different events hosted by Women Connect that are helping to make women feel confident and aware of their bodies and conditions. As an Empower Sponsor, I can advocate for the missions I value and help others gain information simultaneously. Thank you, Women Connect, for all you do."
What has been a favorite Women Connect memory, experience, or takeaway so far?
"My biggest takeaway from Women Connect has been the sense of community and shared purpose. Everyone who is a part of Women Connect is not just passionate and ambitious but also genuinely good-hearted. We all share a common goal and collaborate to make an impact in our community. This unity and strength is what makes Women Connect so special and meaningful. I feel very blessed to be a part of this organization."
Philanthropy is a big part of your life – what drives your enthusiasm for giving back?
"I have always valued serving the community by volunteering through various organizations. For me, service allows me to advocate for vulnerable populations, listen to the concerns of others, and make them feel genuinely heard. I highly value improving the well-being of all communities, regardless of background or socioeconomic status. This aligns perfectly with Women Connect's mission, so I am enthusiastic about supporting this organization."
What's something you're looking forward to this summer?
"I look forward to spending quality time with family and friends, traveling a bit, and doing a lot of yard work. Summer always goes by fast, so I aim to cherish each day and make the most of it."
